THE WID SECURITY PATROL TEAM
The main aim of the WID Security is to Patrol, Monitor and Report all incidents within the boundaries of Woodstock and to develop a safe environment.
In order to make patrols more effective a Bloodhound patrol system has been installed and 22 points were placed strategically all over Woodstock, however a more advance patrol system will be put into place in July 2012.
Visiting registers have been placed at certain businesses which Security officers must sign while on patrol whenever they pass such businesses.
They also have to stand down and be visible at certain points as prescribed to ensure the safety of people going to work and when leaving from work. The times will be in the early hours of the morning ( 06h00 – 09h00) and in the afternoons (15h30 – 18h15). We are adamant that the Security officers adhere to all instructions in order to assist each and every public member moving in or out of Woodstock.
During the month of May 2012 WID Security attended to 564 complaints and made 8 arrests.
