BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER:

STORY ON ISRAEL SHABALALA

Israel is a 29 year male that was living on the streets of Woodstock for three years, but was homeless for six years. In those six years he only stayed in one shelter but landed up on the streets again. On my first inter-action with Israel he said he is longing to see his family, and then we started talking a about his family, he explained to me that his brother is working at the Head Office of FNB in Johannesburg, but never had contact with him, I suggested that we speak to a branch manager at FNB to find whether we could contact his brother.

On two attempts their where no success but on the third time immediately we made contact. His brother was so shocked to hear from Israel that they made arrangements to meet, his brother also contacted his father and when his father heard that he was homeless he made plans to get his son into a flat that is owned by his father immediately.

Israel is now living in the Flat in Sea point, and is planning to get his business started….

I am happy to say that Israel is doing well, and that he is happy to be re-united with his family.
